The Sixfold-Star of Eridu

This replica represents the Moon-God Nannar, God of wisdom. Eridu is considered the earliest city in southern Mesopotamia and is still today argued to be the oldest city in the world. Eridu was originally the home of Enki, known in Akkadian as Ea, who founded the city around 5500 -5300 BC. EA was believed to be living in Abzu (deep water), an aquifer, and origin of all life forms.
